About This Float
This 10-mile river excursion may just be the most scenic and popular trip to paddle in Bartow County. This trip is only available from 9am to 11am departure and off the river by 6pm.
This river adventure begins on the Euharlee Creek where 1/2 mile downstream the creek will merge with the Etowah River allowing you to experience a taste of both waterways. This float trip offers some ideal stopping opportunities where you can stretch your legs, play in the water, and make some memories. This paddle trip crosses over no less than six Native American fish weirs and winds beneath breathtaking riverside bluffs. The highlights of this trip are a small island just before Hardin Bridge, then a 0.2-mile trek through the infamous "rock garden," followed by a series of small shoals just before Island Ford, known as the BIG Island. These islands offer multiple opportunities to stop and play in the river, and this trip is a favorite paddle for families that are wanting to spend the day making memories on the Etowah.
