FLOYD'S LANDING TO OLD HARDIN BRIDGE

10-MILE RIVER EXCURSION #02

About This Float

This 10-mile river excursion is a combination of our most popular float trips. Your adventure will begin at Floyds Landing then you will travel through plantation row where several plantation homes lined the river prior to the Civil War, float past Georgia Power’s Plant Bowen, which is one of the largest land owners in Bartow County. This route is primarily peaceful and mostly rural with some residential riverfront homes along the way, You will encounter two Native American fish weirs, and two naturally shallow areas on this journey, and travel under Old Milam Bridge which nowadays all that remains is just an old iron  skeleton of a bridge structure. There is also an ideal stopping opportunity about 2 miles downstream of the Euharlee Bridge on the small island, this is an ideal place where you can stretch your legs and play in the water before your trip concludes.

This river adventure concludes at the Old Hardin Bridge launch area, located on your river left, just beyond and after paddling under the  NEW Hardin Bridge. This area has been recently improved with a boat ramp, picnic tables and has two porta-johns available.
